Once again, it’s another episode of Papakiki. This weeks episode was quite enjoyable, and I had some fun working on it, as did the rest of the team. Hope you enjoy it just as much as we do and continue to watch our releases. We’re looking to increase quality by the week. As for major changes, we’ve fiddled with two things that will be kept consistent (and later edited into the batch) throughout the rest of our releases for this show. One: We’ve opted to toss Japanese characters out the window, and stick with just romaji and English translations. Two: We’ve switched the way that our torrents / files appear in terms of naming. Also, expect no DDLs, as we’re slowly losing sites. If you really need them, check AnimeTosho.

Edit: There was an issue in the 480p version of the release that would have weird playback issues. Here is a patch for it, its around 16 MBs, so it may take a little bit of time to patch the file. Just extract the zip and put the episode in the same folder and run RUN THIS.bat and it will be fixed when the window closes. [480p Patch]

Great work on the subs so far. I’ve got no complaints.
There does seem to be an encoding error somewhere, though. I’m watching your 480p release, and the part from 16:49 to 20:07 just doesn’t play at all. I’ve tried it both on MPC-HC [with CCCP] and VLC, but it works on neither one. I thought I had a corrupted download, so I redownloaded it, but that part still won’t play. Could you please do a re-encode of the 480p?

I’ll talk to our encoder, or rather, our muxer. It’s generally not a problem with the initial encode as it is a issue when the files are muxed together.
Ah, I didn’t think of remuxing it myself.
I’ll give it a shot and post back.
Alright, just tried a remux, but I’m still getting the same problem. I hope something can be worked out.

I just checked and this appears to be an encoding error. I’ll check the original file before I muxed it with the audio, but I think I may have to re-encode it.

You guys will be doing the BD-rips for this show, right? What other projects do you have in mind for the future? Just loli shows? :3
If I may suggest so, would you be interested in taking a crack at the Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei specials? There’s a torrent by a raw group called [Henshin] on Nyaa that’s full of these short specials that no one’s subbed before. Maybe you could make the entire SZS series a long-term project or something?

I could always switch it back and make a new banner again now that I’ve thoroughly figured out how banners on WordPress work (dimension-wise, etc.)
The background pic looks awesome. You should leave it, or, better yet, cycle through different pictures of flatties every once in a while for the background.

Real life situations, yes. We aren’t giving up on Papakiki, but key staff just have more important concerns.
